I just want to say thank you to Kenji for talking about this. I had no clue about this situation since I don't engage with Sketch or his form of content really, but as someone who is gay and has to deal with this kind of stuff, the overwhelming support for Sketch makes me SO happy.
When I was in middle school, I got completely outed to the entire school only a few days after getting with my first girlfriend. It ended up pretty similar to Sketch's situation, where everyone felt entitled to my life and the specifics, even when they didn't even know me. Getting outed can not only ruin a person's life, it can end it. I've known people, including myself, whose family got violent when they found out, leading to threats, assault, and even a push to take their own life.
Someone close to Sketch should definitely keep an eye on him, because the way he was talking leads me to think he probably is considering it because of the backlash, either from the internet and his community or possibly a closer source like his family.
You're NEVER entitled to know stuff like that about a person, regardless of your relationship with them. It's always the people who claim being gay or a sex worker is dangerous for kids and that it's "tainting" the youth, only to turn around and push gay kids into suicide or make them have to go into sex work because they can no longer do anything else.

I never knew who Sketch was before this drama and that's sad to me because he seems like a genuinely funny and good guy. I'mma go follow him and show him some support. I truly hope this passes soon for him, people can be so hateful anymore.
Sidenote: Sneako rants fries my brain cells bro- ugh. Its exhausting even hearing him, like Kenji said is he only here to hate,,,, 😫
